| The rain brought out so many colourful ways to avoid getting wet! |
The Rialto Market is open everyday and I think any day would be a good day to see it. The best part for us though, was it gave us something to do when it was rainy and dreary.
It also gave another chance for interesting people watching!

| The gulls waited until the fishmonger wasn't looking, then they feasted on sardines! |
I bought myself a clementine before we left, it looked delicious - and it was.
After this, I needed a coffee and cake break and just like that we saw the Caffe del Doge and indulged!
Then it was a bit of retail therapy time and we bought some Murano ornaments and a vase which I carried in my trusty large green bag. They were rather large and I ended up with quite a sore back! The next time I do anything like this, I will carry a back pack instead of a large bag.
We also stopped at a little establishment that sold what looked like affordable beer for Alan. He was quite disappointed when he saw the size of it though! That's my Spritz hiding the beer!
We went back to the first place we got pizza the first night and had another lovely dinner. We also went pack to the Devil's Pub for more chips!
I think this is the pace people should actually experience Venice! Maybe we will learn from days like this to just relax and enjoy instead of rushing about. But how ever we manage our days in someplace as special as Venice, they will all be wonderful!
