3 Days on the Isle of Bute - Day 3

View from Lyle Hill - on the mainland
All good things must come to an end and this is the day we had to check out of Chandlers Hotel and head home.  Since we seem to have done everything we set out to do these past few days and anything else would take too much time, we just checked out and headed home.

It really is a lovely hotel and I realised I have not shared any of the photos I took of the rooms.  The rooms are cozy and comfortable and, if we stayed any length of time, they would be perfect to just sit and relax in.

This was reception the last time we were here!

There is also a room with a grand piano but the lighting was too dark when I was taking the photos.

We caught the ferry back to Wemyss Bay and stopped at McCaskie's butcher shop to buy their prize winning Bridies.  We always consider ourselves lucky when we can get a parking place and buy these.  Steak and Onion - delicious! No pictures of these, maybe one day they will last long enough.  Although they are really nice cold, they are meant to be warmed up. Either way, if you are ever in Wemyss Bay and wondering what you might like to eat, drop in there!

One reason we had to leave Bute relatively early was to collect our dog from the kennel. But the other reason was to make time to stop by Greenock to see the cruise ship, MSC Meraviglia.

After this, we drove to Lyle Hill just for the view. That photo is at the beginning of this blog.

After collecting our Boxer puppy from a kennel we have used for years with our other dogs, we went home, at least for a while!
